Support for subprojects

In sub-projects within Local Economy and Sustainable Entrepreneurship companies and other organizations can seek support to stimulate the development of the local economy and entrepreneurship in Upplandbygd. A sub-project is a smaller investment that means simpler administration and faster decisions compared to running a regular leader project.

What can you search for?

Initiatives that contribute to one or more of the following goals: new networks or collaborations, new service solutions, reduced climate impact, new services, new solutions to environmental and climate problems. The main benefit of the sub-project will accrue to Upplandsbygd geographical area.

For example, investments such as:

  • Develops the company's operations
  • Develops the company's profitability
  • Creates local jobs or employment
  • Creates new services, products or markets
  • Business development and brand building
  • Promote new or existing networks of entrepreneurs
  • Creates meetings and develops collaborations.

Who can apply?

Companies or other organizations. You need to collaborate with at least one other organization in a different sector (i.e. non-profit or public).

Maximum searchable amount: 23,500 SEK excluding VAT

Support level: 70 %

Earliest start: 2025-10-01

Ends by: 2026-07-31

Geographical delimitation: The main benefit will go to our area in Knivsta, Sigtuna, Uppsala, Vallentuna, or Östhammar municipality.

The food source part 1

In the subproject The food source part 1 Östhammar's business association, together with Micaela Zackrisson, wants to help local food producers both reach out better and grow at home. In short: they want more local food to be both produced and end up on our plates.

Micaela Zackrisson together with Östhammar's business association is moving forward in the process of creating a local food network in Östhammar. The idea is to develop an action plan for the new platform. And at the same time establish a new project in collaboration with the municipality.

Part-time farmers – a model for sustainable work-life balance and local food production

Uppsala Food Council to investigate an innovative model for part-time vegetable growers. The model based on 1-2 days of unpaid leave per week, where the part-time farmer instead works as a salaried growers. This will be a unique ways for companies to contribute to the well-being of their employees and at the same time benefit a governmentnegative thinking.

Potatoes with a twist

Through this project, Langhard Lantbruk wants to create a collaborative process around a potax collectors, to reduce the impact of climate change, increase economic stability and contribute to shorter food chains.      This investment will regenerate the countryside in the long term and create local development that takes place between mennods.

Milk and Honey Garden – action stall with the garden practiceriver

Johanna Kylin in Gimo grows a variety of edible plants in her garden, she also does beekeeping. She now wants to start selling her surplus to others in Gimo. To give back to the community in the way she can. The solution is a simpler trading stall with self-service

Milk and Honey Garden – display garden with knowledgestroll

The villa garden in Gimo will become a physical source of knowledge, similar tot an edible jungle. The hope is to insencourage others to start farming edible plants in their own garden and thereby increase the proportion of locally produced food.

Echoshperience

The project aims to preserve and disseminate unique acoustic environments in five locally anchored church buildings within the Sigtuna and Knivsta pastorates. By recording so-called acoustic impulse responses (IR files) from actual locations, the churches' acoustics can be captured and digitally preserved for the future.

Lokala smaker i fylld pasta – från lokal råvara till restaurangupplevelse

Projektet ska ta fram en film som visar hur lokala råvaror och lokalt producerad pasta kan användas i restaurangmiljö. Företaget Bacana genomför projektet i samarbete med lokala restauranger och lokala råvaruproducenter och förädlare.

Förbättring av musteritjänst

Genom att investera i en ny fruktkross vill Charlottenluns musteri i Knife bidra till ökad nyttjande av lokala resurser, samt ökad kunskap runt förädling av livsmedel och livsmedelsberedskap.
