Time horizon from idea to decision
Expectations
Seeking support for a project involves several steps and it is important that you have reasonable expectations of how long it may take.
Welcome to follow the steps from idea to approved project – we will help you along the way.
Workload
Projects that have high budgets, require more administration and take on average 14 months from submitted concept sketch to approved project.
• Normally, applicants receive a counseling period of less than a month.
• At high Due to workload, it takes between 1-2 months to get a consultation appointment.
• At very high Due to workload, it takes between 2-3 months to get a consultation appointment.

Processing
There are large variations in processing time depending on the type of project and workload of:
• you as the project owner
• with us at Upplandsbygd
• at the Swedish Board of Agriculture
The first Upplandsbygd is responsible for this part.
The Other The Swedish Board of Agriculture is responsible for this part.
When we are finished with our processing, you can always contact us and we can try to get an idea of how the Swedish Board of Agriculture is doing.
Step 1
Make a concept sketch
What are you passionate about? Who else can you collaborate with? The first step to a project with Upplandsbygd is to make a preliminary sketch of the idea for your project and test whether it fits as a project with us.
Please note that the concept sketch not is an application.
Step 2
Book a consultation with us
Send your completed concept sketch to kansli@upplandsbygd.se and let us know that you would like advice. Together we will help develop the project and see where it fits in.
Step 3
Write the application
Write a project application with feedback from us at the office. Depending on whether you are seeking support to implement a project or a sub-project, the process will be different.

Step 4
Our board makes decisions
When your project application is ready, it will first be discussed at a preparation meeting with part of the board. Decisions are made continuously throughout the year at our board meetings. You can find the dates in our calendar.
Decisions on sub-projects are made on an ongoing basis by two board members after consulting with the office.
As soon as the decision has been made, we will contact you to tell you how it went.
