With us, organizations can apply for support for projects that contribute to our strategy and where the main benefit goes to the rural areas in our area.
We have four different types of support. See which one suits you best.
Larger investments
Project
Seeking funding for a project is the right path if the investment is extensive and contributes to societal benefit.
- The project idea should fit within one of the focus areas in our strategy.
- The application is made digitally in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service.
- Decisions are made on an ongoing basis by our board. If approved, the Swedish Board of Agriculture will also make a formal decision.
There is generally no limit to how much support you can apply for. The budget should be reasonable in relation to the benefit the project will contribute.
Smaller bets
Subproject
Sub-projects are a good alternative for smaller initiatives that do not require a large budget. Sub-projects are carried out within the framework of umbrella projects that we at Upplandsbygd run, which means less administration and faster decisions.
- The project idea must fit within one of our umbrella projects.
- The application is made using forms available here on our website and sent to us at the office.
- Decisions are made on an ongoing basis by three board members. No formal decision is required from the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
Conditions and support vary between different umbrella projects. Often the maximum support you can apply for is 25,000 SEK.
investigative efforts
Pilot study
A feasibility study can be a good way to investigate the conditions for a larger project.
- The feasibility study should fit within one of the focus areas in our strategy and investigate initiatives that contribute to meeting our goals.
- The application is made digitally in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service.
- Decisions are made on an ongoing basis by our board. If approved, the Swedish Board of Agriculture will also make a formal decision.
Maximum amount: SEK 500,000
Maximum implementation time: 18 months
Investments for one or a few companies
Project support for companies
”"Project support for companies" is relevant if the project is beneficial to one or a few companies.
- The project idea must fit within one of the focus areas in our strategy and applicants must collaborate with at least one party from another sector.
- The application is made digitally in the Swedish Board of Agriculture's e-service.
- You can apply for support for a maximum of 70 % of the project's total costs.
- Private funding needs to be at least 30% of the project's total costs, for example self-financing (actual money), expected revenue or sponsorship.
- Decisions are made on an ongoing basis by our board. If approved, the Swedish Board of Agriculture will also make a formal decision.
In the case of project support for companies, the maximum amount of support may be SEK 200,000.
