Do you have an idea that could make it easier to sell or use local food?

Now companies and organizations in Upplandsbygd can apply for support for smaller investments within shorter food chains. Through the investment You will have the opportunity to develop new solutions – which in turn contributes to more local food. In addition to this The application is simpler and the decision-making process is faster than in larger projects.

Support for subprojects

In the venture ”Shorter food chains” companies and other organizations can apply for support for initiatives that aim to shorten food chains. In addition, the project will stimulate the production and consumption of local foods. For example, you can test new collaborations and also develop new sales solutions. You can also create new paths from producer to consumer.

Examples of what you can do:

For example, you can start a producer network and thereby strengthen cooperation between local actors. In addition You can test direct sales to restaurants to create shorter routes from producer to kitchen. Alternatively You can develop a REKO solution or work with co-distribution, which can make logistics more efficient. Further there is an opportunity to develop a digital solution for local food that simplifies contact between producers and customers

To be able to apply for support The project needs to contribute to at least three companies benefiting from the shorter food chain. In this way, the project not only strengthens an individual actor, but also contributes to broader local development.

Who can apply?

Companies or other organizations. You need to collaborate with at least one other organization in a different sector (i.e. non-profit or public).
