Food from the ground – outdoor kitchen

The outdoor kitchen will consist of a wood-fired pizza oven, a ground cooler, a rocket stove, and a rain cover. By using natural and local materials, resources are utilized in a careful manner, while the construction process becomes part of the experience. Here, practical craftsmanship is combined with knowledge of sustainable cooking.

The project is carried out in collaboration with Tensta local heritage association and includes workshops where participants can join in building using the ”cob” technique. In this way, a meeting place for collective learning is created, where knowledge emerges through working together with the materials and the site.

When the outdoor kitchen is completed, it will be inaugurated through communal cooking and thereafter become a natural part of the farm's activities. Here, visitors can participate in study visits, courses, and activities where sustainable food and local resources are in focus.

In the long term, the project aims to strengthen both the local community and the opportunity to live and operate sustainably in the countryside. By demonstrating alternative ways to build and cook, Bobrunna Farm hopes that more can be inspired to use what already exists around them.
