Increased knowledge about local food supply

The project is part of the umbrella project Richer Water and Landscape.

A project that creates meetings between local food producers and consumers - with a focus on shorter food chains, biodiversity and new collaborations in and around Knivsta.

About the project

A new sub-project from Charlottenlund's trade booth highlights local, small-scale food production and its importance for sustainability, community and biodiversity. The trade booth gives local producers the opportunity to meet consumers in a physical store environment.

The project aims to create meetings between local food producers and consumers and also enable collaboration between producers themselves. Through these meetings, consumers gain a greater understanding of the value of small-scale production and its benefits, while giving producers the opportunity to share experiences with each other and develop future collaborations.

Several different meetings are planned for 2026, between consumers and producers, but also between producers. In connection with the meetings, tastings of the producers' products will be offered. Another meeting is planned in collaboration with the Nature School in Knivsta, in connection with Biodiversity Day, where the aim is to provide information about sustainability and local food production.

Project manager Mikael hopes that more people will become aware of local producers and their offerings and that the meetings will lead to more collaborations between different producers near Knivsta.
