Sustainable Entrepreneurship 2023-2024 is a program for entrepreneurs who want to be able to make a living from something that also benefits the planet.
About the project
Sustainable Entrepreneurship 2023-2024 is a program for sustainable business development in the Upplandsbygd catchment area. The program is aimed at entrepreneurs in Upplandsbygd who have ambitions to develop business ideas, not only socially and economically, but also in a way that strengthens ecosystems and our natural resources.
Purpose
The purpose of the project is to strengthen sustainable entrepreneurship in the area and to facilitate organizations that want to work with the business opportunities that open up through the transition to a more sustainable society.
In this program, it means developing and exploring opportunities for entrepreneurs in Upplandsbygd to take some steps forward in their own business in terms of sustainability together with others. Participants in the program gain access to expertise in the areas of sustainable development and sustainable business development, both at a group and individual level.
Each entrepreneur or company is also allocated resources to develop their business economically, socially and ecologically. Each company can apply for investment grants in 2024. As a participant, you will have access to networks and pilot functions not only towards entrepreneurs in the area, but also towards the public and non-profit sectors.
The program's long-term ambition is to create both new jobs and innovations with this investment. Therefore, entrepreneurs who have these ambitions will be selected.

Program goals
- to provide knowledge and insight into sustainable business development, both locally and in a larger perspective
- to make resources available to entrepreneurs to implement sustainable business development. Every company can apply for investment grants in 2024
- that this investment will result in new jobs, services, products and innovations
Program schedule and content
The program tentatively consists of:
- Kick-off with introduction late autumn 2023
- Lectures with associated exercises during the period late autumn 2023 to July 2024, which link to the development of sustainable business plans
- Individual counseling and group follow-up meetings in 2023 and 2024
- The eight companies are allocated resources to develop services or products to be able to develop the company in 2024. Each company can apply for investment grants in 2024.

- Closing event and inspiration conference June 2024
Expectations of participants
The foundation of the program is commitment, openness and interactivity. Participants are expected to work both independently and in groups between seminars, consultations and follow-up meetings. Participants are also expected to share experiences with other participants. The strength of the program will be the collaboration between the participants' different expertise and the program management's different competencies. The approach to confidentiality within this program means that all participants sign a document of confidentiality regarding everything of a business secret nature.

For whom? You have a sole proprietorship, AB, HB, social enterprise or economic association, etc. You want to be able to make a living from something that also benefits the planet!
How? We become a group of entrepreneurs who are supported through seminars, networking meetings and individual advice from consultants affiliated with the program. We make study visits to each other and apply for investment grants.
When? The program will start in late fall 2023 and end in fall 2024.
