On this warm May evening, we had the privilege of welcoming seven new board members and thanking the four who have completed their assignments. Of those who left, Lars-Ove Ivarsson and Per Edstam were present and we were touched to hear how they appreciated the work and sent words of encouragement to those who are taking over. Johan Skog, chairman of the municipal board in Vallentuna, did a very good job as chairman of the meeting.
We are really happy that Vallentuna municipality is now officially part of the association! That's why it was extra fun that we had the meeting in our newest municipality. Kårsta-Ekskogen community center is a very nice meeting place that is developing into a local cultural center, with a cinema, pub, concerts and more. During the evening we enjoyed locally produced vegetarian sandwiches from Lise at The Hawker's Nest.
Sven and My from the office talked about opportunities to apply for projects and arranged a premiere screening of the film about the Sustainability Spider – ”Sowing a seed for change with Upplandsbygd”.
We are happy to have such a committed association of members, network participants and board members who contribute positive development power and hopes for the future.
