The project was part of the umbrella project The Builders

The purpose of the project is to obtain and compile knowledge about water-saving techniques, reuse, irrigation in connection with cultivation. This knowledge will then be disseminated to the residents of Järlåsa through an educational and information meeting and a simple information booklet. The idea is to take advantage of the local interest in water conservation, unite the non-profit actors in the working group and create the conditions for continued involvement in the issues even after the project ends and continued work within the group. The goal of the project is to stimulate and inspire property owners in Järlåsa to change their behavior, but above all to introduce water-saving techniques in their gardens.

In the long term, the project's goal is to achieve better resource management with water, increase the opportunity for residents in Järlåsa (both with their own well and connected to municipal water) despite small water resources, and facilitate and enable local cultivation despite reduced precipitation in the summer as a result of climate change.
