Develop a FARM WITH PERMACULTURE AND FOREST GARDENING SPRAY

Bobrunna farm, through Elin Boström in Vattholma outside Uppsala, was granted project support to develop their farm with permaculture and forest garden thinking.

Bobrunna Gård wants to produce food in a way that strengthens our ecosystems instead of depleting them. To produce food in a regenerative way, Bobrunna Gård will develop the farm with inspiration from both permaculture and forest gardening. Irrigation of crops has been a challenge on the farm, but in this project, the irrigation will be developed by using collected water that is then distributed through solar-powered irrigation.

Motivation of the Board:

Brobrunna farm can be a good example of local sustainable farming on a small scale.
The market is there and locally grown sustainable products are in demand.
If it contributes to more local growers, it can have a big effect.

Bobrunna Gård was also granted project support in marketing within Sustainable Entrepreneurship.

It should be easy, efficient, beautiful and fun to work with sustainable food production, and Bobrunna wants to convey that. It is also so much more fun to be able to do it together and create a network over the internet. Having good quality sound and image is crucial for people to be able to watch a film. That is why Bobrunna wants to invest in good equipment so that they can get good quality on their films from the start.
By showcasing the farm, their smart system that allows them to produce food cheaply and efficiently, but without fossil fuels (as far as possible), will reach further and attract participants to courses and sales. Sustainability permeates the entire company, which is about producing food locally, promoting biodiversity and spreading knowledge about it to ultimately contribute to a greater transformation of society.
