Tunatorget is one of Uppsala Municipality's (planned) total of ten Service Points in the countryside outside Uppsala city. In order for it to be widely used, we now want to spread information in the countryside that it exists and can/should be used as a meeting place for everyone.
About the project
The project was part of the umbrella project The Builders
The project wants the service area, the square outside and the surroundings closest to Tuna center to become better known and a natural gathering place for children, young people, middle-aged and elderly people. Therefore, we want to strengthen the place and build up various activities in, at and around it.
The Tunatorget venue is located next door to Tuna Jourlivs. The venue itself is owned by the lumber yard and house builder Annahus/Tunastugan and with volunteers and materials from the municipality we have been able to renovate, decorate and furnish the venue. The venue includes a meeting room for 8-10 people, a small kitchen with a coffee maker and other equipment for organizing coffee breaks, and a newly equipped toilet.
