increased activity & community at tuna gravel pitch

The project is part of the umbrella project Rural development.

Tuna Parents' Association wants to increase the accessibility of the gravel pitch and beach volleyball court. This is to create more inclusive, a safer and more communal place for children and young people to gather and perform various activities on.

About the project

Tuna Parents' Association is responsible for the care and maintenance of a gravel pitch and an adjacent beach volleyball court in Tuna. The gravel pitch is used all year round for activities such as football, brännbol, ice skating and sports lessons. The Parents' Association has applied for this sub-project in order to further develop and improve these areas.

Although there is a gravel court and a beach volleyball court, these are only used sparingly. A contributing reason for this is the lack of amenities and equipment that would enable more spontaneous use. Therefore, the association wants to increase the accessibility of the gravel court and the beach volleyball court.

To make the existing gravel pitch accessible, a small shed will be built directly adjacent to the gravel pitch. New sports equipment needs to be purchased, which can be used by everyone.  As well as repairing broken lighting. This way, people will be able to take part in and use the place, which contributes to more activity and increased community in the area.
