Reduce climate impact and create a welcoming climate with an air-source heat pump

Märsta Ridklubb wants to install an energy-efficient air source heat pump in its facility. The aim is to reduce climate impact, lower energy costs and create a warm and welcoming environment for children and young people all year round.

About the project

The project aims to reduce energy consumption and climate impact by installing an energy-efficient air source heat pump in the stable's common area. The goal is to replace today's electric heaters with a more sustainable alternative that provides a better indoor climate. This is especially important since many children and young people do homework and socialize in the facility both before and after riding lessons.

In the project, Märsta Ridklubb is collaborating with Rävsta Ridcenter, and they estimate that heating costs will be reduced by approximately 30 %. This enables more activities all year round, without increasing energy needs. The project includes installation of the pump, dissemination of information to members and monitoring of energy consumption. The operation is carried out in Sigtuna municipality, and during open events the place serves as a meeting place for the entire local community. The initiative combines climate benefits with increased accessibility, well-being and community.
