About the project
The project was part of the umbrella project The Builders
The project will, together with students and leisure teachers, demonstrate during the spring semester how it is possible to grow nutritious microgreens, spices and salad without soil at school. St. Gertrud School in Sigtuna has been chosen as a pilot school. The cultivation is supervised once a week on site at the school by staff from LokaltOdlat. The project also aims to educate children and young people about the time perspective for the production of food, mainly salad and leafy greens. By growing without soil, the project can also demonstrate that it is entirely possible for everyone, without the need for land, to grow their own fresh spices and salad on a small scale at home.
