Recreation center activities – Creative Workshop

The project is part of the umbrella project Rural development.

Källörs community center association in collaboration with Knytpunkten arranges a creative workshop twice a month. So that children and young people can learn to creatively create with clay and to create more meeting places for children and young people in rural areas.

About the project

Källörs community center association, in collaboration with The junction point created a creative workshop for children and young people. The creative workshop is part of the after-school center activities. In the creative workshop, children and young people learn to build and create with clay, among other things.

Running recreation centers in rural areas is a way for children and young people to create new hobbies, make new friends and be part of a community spirit. Recreation centers are an important part of creating more meeting places for children and young people in rural areas.

The association wants the after-school center operations to continue after the project ends. They also want the collaboration with Knytpunkten and their project to continue.

The hope is that more associations can start up recreation centers and activities, to create inclusion, community and social sustainability among children and young people in rural areas.
