An investment in public education

The project is part of the umbrella project Rural development.

Upplands-Ekeby Bygdegård wants to upgrade its conference room by equipping it with modern audio and video technology. This will strengthen cooperation between the community's associations, companies and organizations, and create new opportunities for activities in the community center.

About the project

The project aims to strengthen cooperation between the village's associations, companies and organizations and create new opportunities for activities in the village hall. By equipping the conference room with modern audio and video technology, it will be possible to hold study groups, film screenings, meetings of various kinds, and rent it out to those who wish.

The project's goal is to create a conference room that meets today's needs for audiovisual equipment and digital solutions. The target group includes local associations, student unions, the church, the municipality and the business community. Among the collaborating actors are, among others, Studiefrämjandet and Studieförbundet Vuxenskolan, the Swedish Church and LRF. Since some actors lack their own meeting rooms, the community center with its modern equipment will become a gathering point for the area's activities.

Through the project, project manager Sven-Ove will be able to give the venue a real boost, so it can be used by more groups and contribute to long-term engagement and learning. Thanks to the new technical solutions in the venue, they do not have to travel long distances to use the same equipment – something that both saves time and promotes ecological sustainability.

The upgraded conference room will thus become a gathering place that promotes knowledge and community in and around Alunda.
