This day brought together committed participants to explore innovative ideas that can promote local initiatives related to sustainable forestry or other nature conservation efforts linked to forests. The ideas presented encompass a variety of visions and projects that can be realized with support from Upplandsbygd.
The upcoming document summarizes the inspiring proposals that emerged during this day, which provides a starting point for potential initiatives and projects to promote more sustainable forestry.

A little more about Shoemaking Day November 11, 2023
Bonnie Nilzon from the Swedish Nature Agency shared insights into clear-cut forestry methods and how they can improve the forest landscape. Ann-Helen von Bremen spoke engagingly about her own experiences as a forest owner and small farmer, where different forms of clear-cut forestry have been central. We also went on a refreshing forest walk, where we delved into the ecology of the forest and saw for ourselves how forest management can shape our forests. This practical experience gave us valuable insights and increased our understanding of the methods discussed during the day.
We would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who participated and contributed to the fruitful dialogue. Your presence made the day both interesting and educational.
Finally, if you are not yet a member of Upplandsbygd, we encourage you to register as a member to receive continued invitations and participate in upcoming events: https://upplandsbygd.se/engagera-dig/
Thank you and we look forward to continued cooperation!
