The project was part of the umbrella project The Builders

The project intends to organize approximately 9 different integration excursions. The Upplandsstiftelsen, together with Friluftsfrämjandet, will select suitable areas to visit. 

The Outdoor Promotion Department in Uppsala has previously organized several outdoor activities for people who are new arrivals and people who want to meet people from other countries. With this project, they want to expand their area of operation and offer the same target group slightly longer excursions outside the urban area.

The aim of the project is to get more newly arrived Swedes to discover the countryside, get to know others with similar interests and improve their health.
