Digital platform for local food cultural heritage

The platform becomes a first step in a larger cultural heritage effort where the material in the long term will be able to serve as the basis for a printed cookbook with local recipes and stories. By digitizing the collection, a living knowledge bank is created that can be used by individuals, associations, and local actors interested in food, traditions, and the stories of the place.

The project is carried out in collaboration with the association Food and Flavors in Northern Stockholm, which helps to spread information about the project and encourage participation from its members and network. In this way, more local producers and engaged residents can be reached, while the project strengthens the connections between different actors in the area.

The project contributes to preserving local food culture and making it more accessible to more people, and the platform can continue to be used as an open knowledge bank even after the project's end. By highlighting local raw materials, producers, and traditions, the project can also contribute to stronger local food chains and increased added value for both people and businesses in the Upplandsbygds area.
