On May 18, we conducted a study visit at Langhard farm outside Vallentuna. During the afternoon, the participants met Helena and Joakim Langhard. They run the farm with a clear idea that food and agriculture do not need to be large-scale to be significant. On the contrary – when the cultivation and animals are close to people, a different relationship to food arises.

We began the study visit with a tour of the farm together with Helena and Joakim. With us was also a guide from Sweden History Tours. He talked about the local food history in the surroundings of Langhard farm.

After the tour, we concluded the afternoon with coffee and pastries from the farm's own delicacies. There was also time for conversation and networking among the participants, which consisted of officials and politicians from Vallentuna municipality as well as people interested in local food and the food chain.

The study visit was part of the project We Ecopreneurs and was conducted in collaboration with Study Promotion, Langhard farm and Sweden History Tours.
