Hello,
My name is Kristina and I am studying a master's in environmental communication and natural resource management at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences in Uppsala. This autumn I will dedicate myself to practicing here at Upplandsbygd, focusing on internal and external communication.
Before the master's, I studied a bachelor's in environmental science at the University of Gävle and simultaneously worked voluntarily with lectures and workshops regarding the UN and Agenda 2030 as a youth ambassador for the Swedish UN Association 2024. It was there that my passion for communication was awakened, how to translate complex science into a language adapted for everyone, especially for young people.
In addition to my current studies, I spend a lot of time painting, a hobby I have carried with me since childhood. When I paint, I sit in the apartment with my two cats, Juni and Salie. I am a strong advocate for creative creation and art in general healing us individually, but also promoting community among us. Besides painting, I spend a lot of time with my dear godson.
Since I have a personal connection to the countryside, I feel honored to be able to do my internship at Upplandsbygd. It will also be incredibly educational to gain everyone's knowledge, see how everything goes from idea to practice, and take in more perspectives on environmental communication for a more vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive countryside.
