When everyone understands, participation increases

During 2024, the FUB association Tallkrogen in Björklinge has developed its website so that it is more user-friendly for the farm's primary target group, which is people with intellectual disabilities.

About the project

The project is part of umbrella project Developing Villages

The project aims to increase participation and independence for Tallkrogens guests with intellectual disabilities. By improving the association's communication and making information about the farm's activities available in an easy-to-understand way, the association wants to reduce anxiety and fear of the unknown and create a more inclusive experience.

The project's goal has been to develop a user-friendly and customized website that enables easy navigation and understanding for our guests and thus increase participation in our activities by conveying clear and preparatory information that creates security and curiosity.

The project's activities have been to create a new, easy-to-read version of the association's website with a focus on images and minimal use of visual support and short films.

The project helps the farm's guests feel welcome, safe and motivated to participate in our activities, regardless of previous experience or level of knowledge.
