Rural safety and environmental values as well as local meeting place and entrepreneurship
Overall, the efforts are expected to improve quality of life and safety and stimulate increased public transport for the benefit of the environment.
About the project
The project intends to arrange road lighting for a meeting place/non-profit recreation center and also for a commuter parking lot on 288 meters of private road within the village, for the bus stops on road 600 and for the school bus stop.
LAG decides to prioritize the application as the project has good potential to strengthen contact between young and old. The project improves the lighting around one of the village's central meeting places and at the village's bus stop. Overall, the efforts are expected to improve quality of life and safety and stimulate increased public transport for the benefit of the environment.
THE PROJECT IS COMPLETED AND COMPLETED
With the help of volunteers, a long trench was first dug for cables and then 18 holes were drilled. After that, terminals were installed and 18 beautiful street lamps now adorn the 300-meter-long road.
Upplandsbygd locally led development met Jerker and Leif for an interview. They said that the end result is that children and young people have had a better quality of life. Children are the foundation of everything and this project would not have been possible without the young people. It is positive to make it better and more pleasant for both children and adults to use public transport. Another aspect is that it has made more people dare to walk to the bus stop themselves when it is dark. One child had said "I go to the bus shelter 5 minutes earlier because it is so nice to stand there". They have also noticed that more children are out cycling on the road, which is a big difference compared to before.
