Swimming ramp in Gimo

The scenic Gimo Dam is a popular facility for sunbathing and swimming, not only for the local population. PRO now wants to make it accessible to people with physical disabilities by building a swimming ramp. It will be the first in the municipality of Östhammar, and an excellent complement to Gimo swimming pool, which is closed May - September each year.

Everyone should be able to take a refreshing dip during the hot summer months. Regardless of age or functional disability. The elderly should not have to hesitate to go into the water on a stable surface. The solution is a so-called resting area that is 1.5 m wide and 2 m long.
