How do we increase carbon sequestration in agriculture?

Welcome to an inspirational meeting on November 13th about increased carbon sequestration and soil health at the farm level and how it can contribute to a larger climate transition. An afternoon with lunch, lecture with Jessica Johansson at Svensk Kolinlagring and exchange of experiences between participants.

Storing more carbon in agricultural land is an opportunity to increase fertility while also combating climate change. What might it look like at the farm level to maximize carbon storage and soil health while producing food and feed? And how can on-farm initiatives contribute to a larger climate transition?

We invite you to an afternoon with an inspiring lecture from Jessica Johansson at Swedish Coal Storage where we get to learn about her work with Swedish farms and the Swedish Carbon Storage initiative around transformation, carbon credits and knowledge dissemination. The Swedish Carbon Storage's mission is to transform the food system towards agroecological agriculture. It is run as a living lab that works towards carbon storage agriculture with added value through economic incentives, knowledge sharing, collaboration and research. Participants will also have the opportunity to exchange experiences with each other.
