Mobile project office – Uppsokarna
To contribute to sustainable rural development by increasing knowledge about the 2030 Agenda, strengthen local actors and promote sustainable local development processes.
About the project
The aim of the project is to contribute to sustainable rural development by increasing knowledge about Agenda 2030 and society's efforts for increased sustainability, strengthening local actors and promoting more sustainable local development processes. This is done by developing an outreach work method that we call a mobile project office.
The mobile office that is being created is basically staffed by people who work with rural development at Uppsala Municipality, together with officials from other administrations with knowledge of issues affecting rural areas and sustainable community development.
The main task of the Uppsökarna project is to help local organizations in rural areas with knowledge about sustainable development and information about the opportunities available for financing sustainable local development processes.
Within the project, there are also funds available for initiatives for associations, such as marketing community days, sustainable events and refurbishing meeting rooms.
There are many sources of funding for good development ideas, but as a private individual, company or association, awareness of support is often low. Through the project office's expertise, the support that is available can be utilized to a greater extent.
