LUSH
Leading, Learning, Developing, Supporting and with Timing!
About the project
Since 2017, Upplandsbygd has run the LAG-owned project LLUST to work with the most current topics for long-term sustainable rural development. LLUST has tackled the 17 global sustainability goals that are part of Agenda 2030. The project was completed in 2023.
The project's goal was to build four sustainability networks, each responsible for 4 to 5 of the 17 global goals. The networks consisted of actors who are non-profit and/or professionally involved in development issues in Upplandsbygd and who want to find ways to work locally with the global goals. The networks arranged theme evenings that highlighted one or more of the most important future challenges designated by the UN and gave the goals a local angle. The LLUST project has also arranged sustainability galas and network meetings. The project focused on how we in Upplandsbygd can work locally to achieve these global goals.
LLUST has contributed to a stronger sustainability focus in our association and a sharper network. For the participants, it has increased their competence in sustainability and led to new collaborations and project ideas. The four sustainability networks and the working method in LLUST live on in, for example, our current network.
