Skidintresset i regionen \u00e4r stort och m\u00e5nga av regionens inv\u00e5nare \u00e4gnar sig \u00e5t l\u00e4ngdskid\u00e5kning och deltar i t\u00e4vlingar som t.ex. Vasaloppet. Regionen saknar dock ett l\u00e4ngd\u00e5kningssp\u00e5r som kan h\u00e5llas tillg\u00e4ngligt med hj\u00e4lp av konstsn\u00f6. Idag pendlar dessa l\u00e4ngdentusiaster antingen till T\u00e4by eller B\u00e5lsta f\u00f6r att kunna \u00e5ka l\u00e4ngdskidor p\u00e5 konstsn\u00f6.<\/p>\n
M\u00e5nga barn och ungdomar i regionen har inte m\u00f6jlighet att prova p\u00e5 skid\u00e5kning d\u00e5 vintrarna ofta \u00e4r f\u00f6r milda f\u00f6r att m\u00f6jligg\u00f6ra sp\u00e5rl\u00e4ggning och d\u00e5 kan inte heller skolorna erbjuda sina elever skid\u00e5kning. Med b\u00e5de l\u00e4ngdsp\u00e5r och skidbacke med konstsn\u00f6 i anslutning till varandra \u00f6kar m\u00f6jligheterna att skolor i regionen kan f\u00f6rl\u00e4gga idrottslektioner och fridluftsdagar lokalt.<\/p>\n
F\u00f6r detta beh\u00f6ver klubben bl.a. investera i sp\u00e5rmaskin som kopplas till pistmaskinen, uppgradera pistmaskinen med nya band (vilket st\u00e5r f\u00f6r den st\u00f6rsta investeringen), materiell i och runt sj\u00e4lva l\u00e4ngdskidsp\u00e5ret. Ambitionen \u00e4r \u00e4ven att k\u00f6pa in ett antal begagnade skidutrustningar f\u00f6r barn och ungdomar s\u00e5 att vi kan l\u00e5na ut b\u00e5de l\u00e4ngd och alpina utrustningar till alla som vill prova.<\/p>\n
