En ny plats f\u00f6r l\u00e4rande, gemenskap och h\u00e5llbar matproduktion i Skyttorp<\/h3>\n

Samh\u00e4llet st\u00e5r inf\u00f6r stora utmaningar kopplade till klimatf\u00f6r\u00e4ndringar, f\u00f6rlust av biologisk m\u00e5ngfald och \u00f6kande oh\u00e4lsa. Samtidigt finns ett behov av fler \u00f6ppna och inkluderande m\u00f6tesplatser som st\u00e4rker gemenskap och framtidstro. Skyttorp \u00e4r ett pendlarsamh\u00e4lle med f\u00e5 sociala arenor, och h\u00e4r ser f\u00f6reningen Skyttorps skogstr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd en m\u00f6jlighet att skapa en ny samlingspunkt.<\/p>\n

Under \u00e5ren 2022\u20132023 genomf\u00f6rdes en omfattande f\u00f6rstudie med studiebes\u00f6k, f\u00f6rel\u00e4sningar, informationsm\u00f6ten och workshops. Arbetet resulterade i stort lokalt engagemang, bildandet av f\u00f6reningen Skyttorps skogstr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd och en stark f\u00f6rankring f\u00f6r projektet Matskog.<\/p>\n

Syftet med Matskog \u00e4r att bidra till \u00f6kad fysisk och psykisk h\u00e4lsa, trygghet, gemenskap, biologisk m\u00e5ngfald, kolinlagring och lokal matproduktion. Genom att arbeta praktiskt med naturen vill f\u00f6reningen st\u00e4rka m\u00e4nniskors relation till sina omgivande ekosystem och \u00f6ka f\u00f6rst\u00e5elsen f\u00f6r varf\u00f6r de beh\u00f6ver bevaras.<\/p>\n

Projektet ska ocks\u00e5 fungera som en k\u00e4lla till inspiration och handlingskraft, s\u00e4rskilt f\u00f6r barn och unga. Genom delaktighet i odling och naturv\u00e5rd ges m\u00f6jlighet att k\u00e4nna mening, hopp och aktivt engagemang i omst\u00e4llningen till ett mer h\u00e5llbart samh\u00e4lle.<\/p>\n

M\u00e5let \u00e4r att etablera en l\u00e5ngsiktigt h\u00e5llbar och aktivt sk\u00f6tt skogstr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd som ger rik och varierad sk\u00f6rd under m\u00e5nga decennier. Platsen ska fungera som en social m\u00f6tesplats, en l\u00e4rmilj\u00f6 f\u00f6r skolor, f\u00f6reningar och universitet samt en resurs f\u00f6r biologisk m\u00e5ngfald och klimatanpassning. P\u00e5 l\u00e4ngre sikt vill f\u00f6reningen inspirera till att fler liknande platser skapas p\u00e5 andra h\u00e5ll i landet.<\/p>\n

Projektets genomf\u00f6rande bygger p\u00e5 gemensam planering, kurser, workshops och praktiska arbetsdagar. Deltagarna f\u00e5r kunskap om skogstr\u00e4dg\u00e5rdsodling, sk\u00f6tsel och h\u00e5llbar matproduktion, samtidigt som en stark gemenskap byggs upp. Platsen kommer att anv\u00e4ndas av f\u00f6reningar, scoutk\u00e5rer, skolor samt akt\u00f6rer som SLU, Uppsala universitet, Biotopia och Cemus, och fungera b\u00e5de som odling, klassrum och m\u00f6tesplats.<\/p>\n

Matskog is a project run by the non-profit association Skyttorps skogstr\u00e4dg\u00e5rd and recently approved by the Upplandsbygd board.
