The purpose of the meeting was to lay the foundation for a local network of associations, with the goal of promoting public health, community and meaningful leisure activities for more people. In May, we carried out a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.osthammar.se\/sv\/nyheter\/2025\/bra-uppslutning-vid-traff-om-aktiviteter-och-gemenskap\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Citizens&#039; dialogue at Gimo Square<\/span><\/a>, d<span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Many people we met asked for more easily accessible activities, especially for young people and people who are currently outside of club life.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">During the meeting on September 8, we discussed the challenges that Gimo&#039;s associations encounter in everyday life, including:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Difficulties in reaching youth and young adults<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Lack of non-profit forces, especially leaders<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Financial constraints<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Limited access to premises and times<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At the same time, the participants expressed great commitment and a desire to find common solutions. There is a need to make visible what the association offers and to make it easier for new participants, especially young people and people who are not used to associations, to find their way into the activities. During the evening, we discussed various<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">ideas and opportunities for improvement, including outdoor days and try-out activities, as well as more concrete ideas such as a marina and easily accessible organized hikes on the Upplandsleden trail.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The meeting clearly showed that there is both a desire and a need to collaborate.
