Our focus was on local food and shorter food chains. And how coordinated distribution can work in practice.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-12123\" src=\"https:\/\/upplandsbygd.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2026\/06\/nanna-pratar-i-bussen-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>During the day we visited <a href=\"https:\/\/market.matvarden.se\/Leverant%C3%B6r\/hallens-kvarn\/\">Hallens mill<\/a> in Kilafors. There Kjell and Jimmy talked about the business and their experiences of selling via MatV\u00e4rden Market. The principal explained why they chose to work with local food, and treated us to a fantastic lunch made with ingredients from local producers.<\/p>\n<p>We also got to listen to Ingmarie Jakobsson, manager at ICA Maxi Bolln\u00e4s, who talked about how the store uses MatV\u00e4rden Market.
